18 Jan Best Encouraging Bible Verses: 10 Verses to Keep You on Track
We could all use some more encouragement. Whether we’re having relationship difficulties, career problems or just general life stress, the Bible’s got our back. Let’s dive into the 10 best encouraging Bible verses to get us back on track.
Philippians 1:6 (NIV): “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
In life, we encounter moments and situations that make it hard for us to keep moving forward. Often, we feel defeated and we wonder if we can ever accomplish our dreams and visions.
We forget that everything that happens to us is under the plan of God. Inasmuch as we may face challenges and encounter barriers, God will never let His plan go unaccomplished.
Wherever you are, in whichever situation, I encourage you to find confidence in the plan and promises of the Lord.
In due time, He will bring to completion all the good work He has started in your life. Don’t focus on the current setbacks along your path, fix your gaze on the one who has the power to make it happen.

Matthew 11:28 (NIV) – “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
We all find ourselves in situations where we feel burdened, tired, and overwhelmed by everything that happens in our lives. During such times, many of us complain and ask why everything happens the way they are happening.
But God is a loving father who doesn’t want us to grow weary and burdened.
He invites us to find rest, peace, and comfort in Him. Are you feeling anxious, worried, and afraid of your situation? Take them to the Lord and find rest.
Isaiah 41:10 (NIV) – “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
When challenges come our way and nothing seems to go as planned, we can find encouragement in God’s promise to never leave us. Close relatives and friends may leave us when our world crumbles but God will forever be with us in every situation.
He promised to uphold and strengthen us so that we can stand firm amid the storms of life.
Therefore, when everyone else abandons you in your tough season, find comfort in the presence of the Lord.

Revelation 3:8 (NIV) – “I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.”
Whether you are looking for a job, planning to buy a new house, seeking to start a business, or any other endeavor, God will open doors for you.
And remember that He won’t just open doors and opportunities but they will be doors that no one can shut. In other words, no one will take away the blessings and favor that God is going to release upon your life and everything you plan to do.
Joel 2:25 (NIV) – “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten – the great locust and the young locust, the other locust and the locust swarm – my great army that I sent among you.”
Loss can make us feel like our world is ending, whether it is the loss of a job, property, finances, marriage, or anything that means so much to us.
However, there is hope for restoration. God is a God of restoration and He promises to restore double-fold of whatever was destroyed by the devil.
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) – “For I know the plans I have for you.” Declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
The plans that God has for your life will never bring harm and destruction.
They may come with challenges, tests, and pain, but they will never harm you.
The tests are meant to shape you and prepare you for what God has in store for you.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
God does not call us to figure out how we are going to manage our circumstances. Rather, He calls us to trust Him in all our ways.
So, don’t stress yourself out trying to make things add up. Entrust everything to God and He will make your paths straight.
1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV) – “No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.”
When you are tempted, remember that you are stronger than the temptation.
This is because God cannot allow a test that is beyond your strength. Don’t ever let any challenge weigh you down, you are stronger than you ever thought.
Isaiah 54:17 (NIV) – “No weapon formed against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me, declares the Lord.”
We live in a world marred by battles; both physical and spiritual.
But this should not scare us since God declared that no weapon aimed against any aspect of our lives will prevail.
He will fight our battles and condemn all who plan to disgrace us.
Romans 8:28 (NIV) – “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
God’s thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His ways higher than our ways.
Sometimes He uses ways that seem awkward to bring out something good in our lives.
Whether you are going through a heartbreak, a job loss, or any other misfortune, trust that God is working behind the scenes for your own good.
It may be a painful experience but the end result will be something worth it.
