5 Inspiring Bible Verses for Entrepreneurs

If you’re an entrepreneur, God has placed a very special purpose on your life! He has called you to create a good or service that meets a specific need in the marketplace. This good or service will bring wealth to your life while enriching the lives of others. Being an entrepreneur is truly a beautiful thing!

But it’s also a challenging path. It takes an incredible amount of patience and discipline to succeed as an entrepreneur. There will be challenges and setbacks that must be overcome. Here are five Bible verses to help empower you along your journey of entrepreneurship.

5 Bible Verses for Entrepreneurs

Proverbs 21:5 (NLT): “Plan carefully and you will have plenty; if you act too quickly, you will never have enough.”

Having a plan and staying diligent in that plan will lead to your greatest successes. Working as hard as you will need to work to see that plan to fruition is not always easy. That’s precisely why we need patience to push us through those times. Never doubt how much hard work pays off.

Stick to your plan no matter how much time and effort it takes to complete. Rushing things or cutting corners will only hurt your business and integrity in the long run. Your discipline and patience will lead to great profits for your business.

Proverbs 16:3 (NLT): “Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.”

As an entrepreneur, it can be easy to get caught up in our work and our successes. Sometimes, this makes us lose focus on God. But we must not let that happen, because God Himself is the author of our success. He brought us to our business and equipped us with everything we needed to make it successful.

In light of that, we must continually commit the plans for our business to God. He must be a constant presence in the work we do. He brought you to where you are, and He will guide to every next step forward. If we forget that, our business will never reach the heights it was meant to.

Luke 16:10 (NLT): “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.”

As we live out the life of an entrepreneur, we have many responsibilities and have to wear many hats. It’s a busy life and the work we have to do can be downright overwhelming! Sometimes, it can be extremely tempting to cut corners in order to just get things done. But we must NEVER do this, as it will only hurt us and our business in the long run. The extra work you have to put in now will save you a lot of headache down the line and help you to keep your reputation as an entrepreneur.

The more you are faithful in your work, the more opportunities God will give you. If things aren’t moving as quickly as you’d like them to, remember that slow and steady wins the race. Continue on in the work you are doing and do it diligently and God will reward you.

Deuteronomy 8:18 (NIV): “Remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth.”

Success in entrepreneurship comes with many feelings. We will feel excited about the path God is leading us down. We will feel fruitful in the work we are producing. Joy will flood our hearts over the seemingly boundless opportunities before us. Entrepreneurship can change our lives in so many ways!

But we must be careful because this rush of emotions also leaves an opportunity for pride to come into our hearts. We must realize that whatever skill or talent has helped us to be successful in our entrepreneurial efforts has come from the Lord and not by our own doing. We must remain humble at all times during our journey.

Colossians 3:23 (GNT): “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as though you were working for the Lord and not for people.”

Your business matters greatly to God. No matter what your business does, don’t fall into the trap of believing it is insignificant. The devil wants you to think that God isn’t watching you. He will whisper in your ear and try to discourage you. That’s why you must bring God into your work. Let Him remind you daily that it’s Him you are working for.

Conclusion

I pray that these verses have helped you to find encouragement along your entrepreneurial path. May God bless the work that you do, today and always!
