09 Feb Bible verses about hope
We could all use a little bit more hope. These bible verses will help you stay true to God’s plan for you and trust in His vision.
Five Bible verses about hope
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
I love this bible verse. It’s easy to get ahead of ourselves. In the process, we overlook the blessings we already have.
This bible verse about hope could be saying to: relax, I’m in control. Sometimes we just need to surrender to Him.
“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.”
Life is complicated. There are sunny days. There are rainy days. And some days are just ‘meh.’ With God’s watching over us, we’re always loved.
When we pick up the Bible and read, we’re consuming His wisdom. We’re relating to stories and applying them to our lives.
If you’re feeling lost, remember, you will be found. He has a plan for every one of us.
“There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.”
I’ve been a big fan of Proverbs. I even wrote a whole book called: the Daily Proverbs: 365 Devotional Sayings on How to Live a Better Life.
In this Proverb, it’s a stark reminder that there will be hope for us in the future. It acknowledges that we may not see it today.
But, we mustn’t give up. For if we stay true and pure to our journey, God will slowly fill us with hope and faith.
The Devil likes short-term pleasure. God has a long-term view in mind. When we least expect it, He will shine his light onto us and spark hope within us.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Whether you’re new to faith, or a life-long devotee, sometimes we need a sign from God.
He will show us joy when we least expect Him to. Life can change so fast. It’s easy to overlook His message for us.
Instead of trying to speed up to match the energy around us, sometimes it’s better to slow down and trust God’s plan.
“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.”
Have you ever heard the cliché saying that whatever doesn’t kill us, makes us stronger?
Well this bible verse for hope could have inspired that saying. The more trials and tribulations we go through, the more we’ll grow.
I once was stuck in a job that I couldn’t stand. It took a toll on me both mentally and physically. At first all I wanted to do was complain about it.
As time went by, I realized my complaints weren’t doing anything. I realized the change had to come from within me. And that I could improve my situation.
Through God’s wisdom, I persevered. I ended up in a career that better suited myself and my family. Through God’s light, I found hope again.
Conclusion
I hope that you found at least one of these Bible verses for hope relatable.
In my journey of becoming an entrepreneur, I’ve been looking at Bible verses for all sorts of specific occasions.
But in this instance, I know that I need more hope. I know that if I live an honest life, spreading God’s word and becoming a better version of myself, that He will show me the way.
