Best Bible verses about healing to get you back on track in life

We all need healing. Whether it’s our physical, mental or spiritual health, these are the best Bible verses about healing to help you find your way.

Best Bible Verses about Healing

Psalm 6:2 (NIV)

“Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am faint; heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony.”

This verse starts with a powerful message: vulnerability.

To truly heal from a situation or life event, we must ask for God’s help.

We must turn to him and surrender. O Lord, please help us heal. We are weak and we need your strength.

See how powerful being vulnerable can be? While we’re all expected to be leaders in our everyday lives, we can confide in God when we’re not feeling up to the task.

Psalm 6:2 is a gentle reminder that all healing starts with surrendering.

Proverbs 16:24 (NIV)

“Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.”

This verse is applicable to so many situations in life. In my book: the Daily Proverbs, I talk about kindness as a predominant theme.

When we are kind to ourselves and others, we begin to let in God’s light.

He’s always shining it down for us, but it’s up to us to open our hearts and absorb His healing ways.

When looking for healing in everyday life, we can start by offering kindness. We can turn inward and remind ourselves that we’re doing our best. We can also be conscious that not every day will be a great day.

Our healing journey begins from within, let God’s light shine bright on your soul.

Psalm 23:4 (NIV)

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

Remember, even on our darkest days, the Lord is near.

We must not walk through life fearing the unknown. Often times, when attempting to heal, we are fearing the unknown on the other side.

Truthfully, there is nothing to fear. In fact, fear is borderline sinful.

In attempt to heal, we must muster up the strength to remain mentally strong. We can always fall back on knowing that God is there with us.

Exodus 23:25 (NIV)

“Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you,”

In times of sickness, we must remember to slow down. We have to nourish ourselves back to health through food and water.

When we worship God, He will make sure our food is ripe and nutritious. He will make our water hydrating and pure.

We all get sick from time to time. Sometimes it’s a physical ailment. Other times it’s through anxiety or depression.

Whatever’s got us down, we must take the time to rest, relax and pray. For without the Lord, we can never fully heal.

Psalm 147:3 (NIV)

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

When we are on the mend, we have to heal our hearts too. Maybe we’re even suffering from the lost of a loved one. Or the loss of a relationship.

Whatever the case may be, we have to ask God to heal our broken hearts. Loving is a big part of life. We love God, we love our family and friends.

Without love, life would be dull and boring. In the pursuit of healing, let’s pray together and ask God to mend our broken hearts.

Guided prayer for healing:

I’ll leave you with a guided prayer:

Oh heavenly father, I pray for you guidance. I must first confess that I need your help.

I have been struggling Lord. I am unwell. I need your shining light.

Please cast your strength, warmth and love down upon me. And may I be healed, Lord.

Amen.
