15 Nov What’s Up With the New ‘I Am Jesus Christ’ Video Game?

Growing up, I was a huge gamer. From everything like Madden football to Call of Duty, you name it and I played it. I don’t play many video games anymore. A partial lack of interest and the fact that the industry itself doesn’t have much to offer. That is, until I read a story about the new ‘I Am Jesus Christ’ video game from SimulaM that’s slated to release in 2023.

The game is branded as the first “Jesus simulator” where the player can do godly acts like turn water into wine. Sound strange? I think so too. I do find the name “I am Jesus Christ” video game a bit offensive.

That’s only because I think if you’re trying to develop a relationship with God, all you need to do is pick up the Bible, read it and pray. However, it might not be so bad. Here’s why.

I am non traditional about many things in life. One of those things happens to be marketing and spreading messages. What if this video game actually gets a small percentage of the people, who play it, interested in religion?

That doesn’t sound so bad, does it? I don’t think so. But, we’ll have to see how the game functions and the limitations of it.

What’s the Purpose of the Game?

According to the developers, the game will retrace the life of Jesus from baptism and then everything after it. I tip my cap to the developers, it’s certainly a unique concept.

I’m all in favor of getting people into Christianity – I just hope it won’t be used for the wrong purposes.
