We’re back with another daily bible verse. This time, we’re focusing on something we could all use more of in life: kindness.

It’s so much easier to be indifferent towards one another or to not care than it is to be kind. An act of kindness can make someone’s day and give them a memory that could last a lifetime. This particular verse and meditation is taken from my brand new best-selling daily devotional called The Daily Proverbs: 365 Devotional Sayings on How to Live a Better Life.

Daily Bible Verse For Kindness

Proverbs 11:17

“Your kindness will reward you, but your cruelty will destroy you.”

In every interaction we have in life, we have two options: we can either be kind or cruel. Being kind reflects the love of Jesus to others and builds strong relationships. Being cruel destroys relationships and erodes our character. Which will you choose to live out? Imagine you tried to go one month with only speaking kind words. How do you think your life would improve? If you can picture things around you getting a lot more positive, then maybe it’s something to try. Conversely, if we spent one month being cruel, how do you think things would look? Friendships would be strained; relationships would be ruined, and valuable time would be wasted.
